Thank you so much for an exciting action-packed experience last Saturday. Despite the semi-rough conditions your crew put out some unbelievable effort and it was much appreciated. I'll be back with the group again in September.
Thanks Again

Bill,
I just wanted to let you know that our experience on the Cock Robin was absolutly perfect, i was so happy with the boat, the staff, and of corse, the fishing. The staff was so good in fact that we invited Johnny Colangelo to chill with us afterwards, and that too was great! We all had such a great time and you can certainly count on us fishing off the Cock Robin and only the Cock Robin when we are in Point Pleasant. My father would have loved the whole trip. You were so helpful and a pleasure to e-mail, one question i have, be it maybe a bit unusual, is if you have a suggestion for a good hotel in the area, we stayed at the XXX and it was just aweful. Thank you.
-Alex M. Rossi
Thank Alex, for 2010 I will put up a recommended Motel/ Hotel in the FAQ's, in the meantime anyone needing hotel/ motel simply email me and we will get you squared away
This is Jim Chapman out of Philly. We were down on Friday fishing. Wanted to send these pics down to see if you could post them? We had an incredible time. My wife Monika had never been Bluefishing before. My buddy Julian had NEVER been fishing before... They both had a great time. You guys are 5-Star! Keep up the good work! Thanks to everyone on the Cock Robin.
Jim Chapman

Although it turns out that I get sea sick, I wanted to thank you for showing us a GREAT time. It was my first time deep sea fishing and I couldn't have asked for a better experience (other than the vomiting). The crew was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The Middletown NY Fire Department looks forward to many more trips with you guys. Let us know when you have some t-shirts for sale and keep us up to date on current events/promotions. You can send info to my e-mail address or to the firehouse at 81 East Main Street Middletown NY 10940.
I attached a couple pictures. I ended up catching the largest fish of the day (almost 13 lbs.) Thanks again. Gregory M. Bosch
ehh, Greg, little LESS on the sea sick info, PLEASE!
Captain Jim:
I had my 17 year old daughter Vicki with me on Saturday and we had a fantastic trip. She hasn't stopped talking about it, and we're home 3 days already! I'm sure you'd remember her as you followed her around with the gaff numerous times. Use this picture if you want in your advertisement - the picture is worth a 1000 words!

To the Capt and the crew - Thanks, Saturday (Aug 29) was a blast. You did a great job and the 30 or so on board that day were rewarded for not listening to the weather channel. Great boat and great fishing. Thanks - see you when the stripers run! Mike V

Hi Bill, Capt Jim, Johnny-Boy, Doug, and the rest of the CockRobin crew!!!
My name is Ryan from Flemington. I'm 11 years old and attached is a picture of my first huge bluefish that I caught on the CockRobin on July 25th of this year. Keep the emails and webpage updates coming, hoping to get out fishing with you guys again in the next couple of weeks for some more blues, albies, or bonito! Ok to post the picture on the website if it makes the cut.
My son and I were fishing with you on saturday sept 5th am trip. We had a
great time and I caught the pool fish.I have a picture of me and the fish on
your boat and can Email it to you for your web page if you would like it.
Thanks for a great time.
yo capt. jim was out with you friday. i got to thank you and the crew . been a long time because of some health issues . john, doug and the new guy are all great . thing is they know what there doing . hooked up with sal and his group and had a blast from the past . i'll see you soon gmoran from long valley .
I wanted to email you a line to say how much my Cousin, Son and I enjoyed your bluefish trip on last Sunday. Due to the hard work and professionalism of the crew, it was a day full of sun, fun and fish.
Special thanks to the mates, who worked as a pair, helping all in need with a quick gaff or untangle of the lines. For the first time ever (and I have sailed on many boats), I observed a mate during a brief lull in the action take the time to ask down both sides of the rail if anyone had any problems or needed any help. It's dedication like that and a genuine feel that the crew was enjoying their work that really made the trip. And Cap, thanks for working the fishfinder so well. Nothing is more fustrating than being stuck in a dead zone forever wondering when the guy up top is going to try a new location.
This was our first outing on the Copck Robin, and certainly not the last.
Please see the attached pic of my son Ryan with his 15 pounder. A personal best for him and one of five he caught that morning. Not to shabby for a 14 year old!
Many thanks and smooth sailing, -Kenny Kerr, Jr.

Thanks, men
Dear Captain Jim,
Thank you very much for a wonderful 2 days of fishing. Our trips on Wednesday 6-25 and Friday 6-27 wre unforgettable, especially for my 7 year old son Michael who was out for the first time. Wednesday produced a Blue fish bonanza with Michael hooking up with 11 pounders plus a porpoise school siting which in 30 years of Atlantic fishing I had never seen. Friday produced loads of Blues and Stripers for an even more memorable day for Michael. Special thanks to Mates Doug, John and Terence for paying close attention to my son. He will never forget your kindness nor will I. You helped create a fisherman for life as well as a dedicated customer. Thank you so much. Yours Truly,
Keith Sutton
Dear Capt. Jim,
We were aboard the Cock Robin this Sunday, June 29th, 2008. My wife and I have been avid Cock Robin Bluefish Crazies for the past nine years. Now it's our daughter and our son that nag us about our next trip to Capt. Jim's boat. This time we brought along a gang of five and we had a terrific time all day. We also discovered that we, indirectly, brought along another group of four as a result of a "stellar" recommendation we gave to you on our local community bulletin board.
We realize that with inflation, especially the price of fuel, on its rocket-tear upwards that it has to be getting harder and harder to find a profit running your business. We thank you for being there all these years. And we hope that you can make the business work thru these trying times; we will be doing our best spreading the good news of "The Finest Fishing Off The New Jersey Coast" -- the Cock Robin!
Sincerely,
Peter And Fran Valle

p.s. a small suggestion. Why not use copper or some other wire on the leads to the jigs? I know that if that resulted in losing fewer jigs I would be very happy -- I ended up paying the equivalent of another guest in lost jigs. pv
To all of the mighty Cock Robin! Jim, Doug, Johnny Boy, thanks again for another phenomenal weekend of fishing! You guys have spoiled us once again and maintained your reputation with some of the best fishing! I can't stop thinking about how crazy the fishing was; what an epic experience! I am still in awe....Attached are our pictures from the weekend masacre, the Gonzalez crew! Dave (my cousin) is still crying about not taking the pool and Andrew (bro-in-law) is still icing his arms down from yesterday. My uncle Dave wants to know if you guys do wake-up calls so he doesn't over sleep next time....lol. I will also be putting a video on youtube called Cock Robin Masacre of Dave crying like a little girl as he barely reels in his 40lb striper! Thanks again! -
Nathan
Friday, only one word to descibe it "EPIC". Heading out didn't look good after hearing the night reports, leave it to Capt Jim and crew to defy the odds. Hooking up with nice size blues after our second stop, then came the Cows!!! After fishing this boat for the last 6 years, definitely one of the best days I have ever seen. I guess I should have made it out Saturday, after reading that report. Thanks for the good time see you next week.

I read your email from the 26th and 27th about the bass being caught and it seemed as if today the 28th my son's birthday would be great. I called him yesterday to see if he wanted to come fishing with me as my calendar for today was clear. He said no thanks but hoped my luck would be good. Got to the boat after a 1.5 hour drive with the thought of lightening striking 3 times since the two previous days were soo good and the Bass were there. The email said that yesterday was one of the finest fishing days of this summer. On board out maybe 20 min. just off shore we stopped. BAM - the guy next to me rod bent in half hit with monstrous bass. Almost within 20 seconds I hit and the voices rang out FISH ON. My fish broke my line I'm sure it would have been a pot winner. Another hook and another cast BAM another FISH ON. This time a 25 pound bass. The guy next to me on his second cast BAM another large bass. By now we were in fishing nirvana. With the crew scurrying back and forth with gaff and hooks we ran the crew ragged. The fish just kept coming and coming like the energizer bunny. Finding another location with smiles on everyones faces we realized it was only 10:00 and we had over 3 hours more to fish. I have gone on other party boats but when I found the Cock Robin my search had ended. There is no other party boat for me. From the skipper who takes it personally to find the best fishing out there to the crew whose constant interaction with us is flawless. I can't thank you enough for the pleasure I have every time I come aboard.

Capt. Jim,
I want to take a minute to let you know that I have referred many friends to the Cock Robin. I tell them that the Cock Robin is my charter fishing boat of choice. This is because after many outings with your crew, you have consistently put me on the fish. You don’t just go out of the inlet and anchor up or drive around in circles looking for fish. Instead, you cover lots of water and don’t waste time on water that seems unproductive. With the price of fuel, it might be better for you to not cover as much water, but you consistently do what it takes to put your customers on the fish. The mate’s are knowledgeable and happy to explain the ropes to those less seasoned. I have benefited from instruction given on the best way to jig for stripers verses the best way for bluefish. I appreciated the knot tying lesson as well. Just last weekend, you introduced me to techniques in bait fishing for bluefish. It was very successful and I have a freezer full of fillets. I drive just under two hours from west of Philadelphia to fish on the Cock Robin and I can honestly say that it is worth the ride. To those looking for a charter boat to try out, I recommend the Cock Robin. You won’t regret it.
